The Challenge
A new residential community starts long before the first foundation is poured. Raw, wooded land has to be cleared, excavated, and shaped into buildable lots with the grades, drainage, and buried utilities the neighborhood will depend on for decades.
At Chestnut Valley, that means neighborhood-scale earthwork across a roughly 220-acre tract — moving about 1.2 million cubic yards of dirt while holding the tolerances the site plan calls for, and putting in the sewer and storm system that has to serve 640-plus lots.
